Comdyn has recently completed a large scale SharePoint implementation for Cardinal Health Network’s new spin-off, Care Fusion, Inc.
5,000 of Cardinal’s 16,000 global staff were scheduled to start work as Care Fusion employee’s starting August 1st,2009. Faced with this aggressive deadline to complete the project, Comdyn deployed our team of consultants to work closely with Care Fusion management and employees.
Brand B, a graphic design and marketing company, was initially engaged to create the custom look and feel. From there our developers created a CSS Theme, various custom web parts, navigation, integration with collaboration sites, news archive browsing, and extensive Active Directory integration. We opted for out of the box functionality where possible, but leveraged our Visual Studio background where custom components were required.
Finally a content architect was deployed to assemble organize, and incorporate content from across the new enterprise. Care Fusion successfully launched in August, along with the newly created and branded SharePoint portal.
