Business Issue: The Institute required an improved system   for specimen tracking, clinical tracking and protocol management.

The Comdyn Group Solution: An intranet  system that includes a user friendly browser based .Net interface (built in Visual Studio 2003) based on MS SQL Server 2000 with a business layer encompassing required logic for protocol management, tracking, and associated work processes.
 
Recently, we've added additional subsystems to the base .Net/SQL Application, this time covering clinical enrollment of patients, and interfaces for tracking patient consents for regulatory compliance. 

JWCI has more than 20,000 patients in their clinical database and it was necessary to expand the database design to accommodate the additional data elements to be captured.  We replaced legacy Visual Basic screens and significantly altered the SQL database to achieve this requirement. 

External enrollment data is captured by third party websites and we established SQL replication processes to automate the validation and incorporation of this data into the master system. 

Additionally, SQL Reporting Services was utilized to create a patient data reporting module.  Reports are accessed directly from the .Net interface using the reporting services URL Access language.”
